A song. A few new discoveries.

Meet the smallest, hottest, biggest and windiest worlds in our solar system. Compare Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune—with a guest appearance from dwarf planet Pluto.

Venus takes about 243 Earth days to rotate once and about 225 to orbit the Sun; its sunrise-to-sunrise solar day is shorter, about 117 Earth days. Saturn’s average density is below water’s, but a planet-sized bathtub is only a silly thought experiment.

Made for curious kids around ages 6–12 and the grown-ups watching with them. Music and animation created with AI tools under Mike Sego’s direction. YouTube’s video description includes the release notes and credits.

Smarty Party! Welcome to the Cosmic Trophy Show! Please keep your moons with you. Mercury is smallest, closest to the Sun, Venus is the hottest, though it's out at number two. Earth has liquid oceans and the only life we know, Mars has giant Olympus Mons. What a volcano! Spin a little, spin a lot, Show us what a world you've got! Big or little, near or far, Eight bright stories round our star! Jupiter is biggest, spins in nearly ten short hours, Saturn wears its icy rings like rows of frosty flowers. Uranus spins upon its side, a very tilted show, Neptune has the fastest winds of planets that we know! Venus takes two forty-three Earth days to turn around, Two twenty-five to circle round the Sun. What have we found? One whole spin takes longer than its year of going round! But sunrise to the next sunrise is shorter. Write that down! Spin a little, spin a lot, Show us what a world you've got! Big or little, near or far, Eight bright stories round our star! Saturn's average density is less than water's, true, A planet-sized bathtub? That's a very silly view! No tub could do the job, so let that giant planet be, And give a wave to Pluto, dwarf-planet VIP! Eight strange worlds with wonders of their own, But Earth gets my favorite trophy: Home.
