The family behind the songs

It started with
a back-seat negotiation.

The kids wanted Brainrot. I wanted them to learn something. And I wanted music I wouldn’t mind hearing for the hundredth time.

I’m Mike Sego, a dad who started turning the things my kids were curious about into songs. Car brands. Giant stars. Huge numbers. The kind of facts that make someone interrupt dinner to say, “Did you know…?”

Smarty Party Songs grew from there: animated musical adventures with real names, numbers, comparisons, and a generous helping of ridiculousness.

Our first audience is also our toughest.

Lenti helps with ideas and reviews. “Lowkey good” was one verdict on Bits to Yottabytes—which I’m counting as high praise. Locke memorized Cars of the World. Lian wanted to know which stars were even bigger than Betelgeuse.

My favorite review is when the kids ask Alexa for the songs while I’m not even in the room.

For curious kids. Grown-ups welcome.

These songs are made with roughly ages 6–12 in mind. They’re for a shared screen, a car ride, a classroom curiosity, or a kid who suddenly needs to know every dinosaur’s name. There are lyrics to follow and questions to keep asking afterward.

Scout, Pip, Ziggy, Mikey, Mia, Lenti, Kimpy, Spotty, and Rooney bring the mischief. The subjects—from stars and science to animals and the world—bring the discoveries.

How the songs are made

I write, direct, and produce the songs using AI tools for music, voices, artwork, and animation. I research and check the material, review the videos, and revise them before release. The video descriptions include credits and notes about the subjects.

Curiosity is a team sport. If you spot something we should correct or have a song idea, write to hi@smartypartysongs.com.

For the grown-ups

coming.
