Smarty Party! How long until breakfast? Well... first, the universe. About thirteen point eight billion years ago, A hot dense universe began to grow. Space kept stretching, cooling on the way, Then stars lit up. What a very big day! About four and a half billion years ago, Our Earth came together in a fiery glow. A crust and oceans, ages rolling by, Tiny life in water, underneath the sky. Long, long ago, then on we go, The world's got a story and it's still in the show! Turn another page, what will we see? A very long road to you and me! Life grew many branches, fishes in the sea, Plants spread over land where there hadn't been a tree. Dinosaurs arrived; little mammals lived there too, They didn't wait their turn for a dinosaur "Shoo!" Sixty-six million years ago, a dreadful asteroid came, The world changed quickly; it never was the same. Most dinosaurs were gone, but birds kept flying on, Mammals spread and changed beneath the rising Sun. Much, much later, humans, with stories, songs and art, We learned to ask our questions and we learned to play our part. And after all those ages, all that history somehow, Here we are together in the only little now. Long, long ago, then on we go, The world's got a story and it's still in the show!
