Sky High

A tiny lift, giant skyscrapers, and a banana for scale.

Sky High3:05

A song. A few new discoveries.

Ride a tiny lift past real skyscrapers around the world, from the Petronas Towers to Taipei 101, Shanghai Tower, Merdeka 118 and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. Learn their names, cities and architectural heights as the skyline keeps growing.

Burj Khalifa is 828 meters tall by architectural height. Built-in spires count; extra antennas do not. This song tours selected completed skyscrapers; it is not a complete ranking. Height information reflects the September 2026 production research.

Made for curious kids around ages 6–12 and the grown-ups watching with them. Music and animation created with AI tools under Mike Sego’s direction. YouTube’s video description includes the release notes and credits.

Smarty Party! I brought a ruler. Mine's a banana. This may take a while. Petronas towers, side by side, Kuala Lumpur, double the pride! Landmark Eighty-One, lift your eyes, Ho Chi Minh City, a stack in the skies. Lakhta Center! Saint Petersburg! My little ruler needs a growth spurt! Going up! Going up! Who put the clouds in the window? Going up! Going up! How far down does the ground go? So many shapes in a great big sky, Small little me with my eyes up high! Hong Kong! International Commerce Centre! Shanghai World Financial Center! Taipei One-Oh-One, tiers in a row, Beijing's CITIC Tower — up, up, up we go! Tianjin, Guangzhou, C-T-F— Two tall towers! Take a breath! Going up! Going up! Who put the clouds in the window? Going up! Going up! How far down does the ground go? So many shapes in a great big sky, Small little me with my eyes up high! One World Trade Center, New York City, Seoul! Lotte World Tower—still too tall for me! Shenzhen! Ping An Finance Center! Makkah's Royal Clock Tower—what a timekeeper! Shanghai Tower, a twisting sight, Merdeka One-Eighteen, reaching for the light! The world's tallest building! Burj Khalifa, Dubai—look up straight! Meters of height? Eight-two-eight! We count built-in spires when we compare, Not the extra antennas sticking in the air. We need a longer banana. Going up! Going up! Who put the clouds in the window? Going up! Going up! How far down does the ground go? So many shapes in a great big sky, Small little me with my eyes up high! How many bananas tall? Can't tell. I ate the ruler. Smarty Party Songs!
