Pasta Parade

13 pasta shapes. A marching band. A very unusual wig.

A song. A few new discoveries.

Sing along with the names and spot each shape. Orzo looks like rice but is pasta; orecchiette means little ears, and farfalle means butterflies.

Made for curious kids around ages 6–12 and the grown-ups watching with them. Music and animation created with AI tools under Mike Sego’s direction. YouTube’s video description includes the release notes and credits.

Smarty Party! Welcome to the pasta parade! Dress code: delicious. Spaghetti brings the long thin strings, Linguine brings the ribbons. Fusilli does a corkscrew dance, Then bumps into the lemons! Penne wears a slanted tip, Rigatoni, ridges! Macaroni bends its elbows, Making tiny bridges! Twirl, twirl, wiggle and bow, Everybody bring your shape somehow! Long or little, bent or straight, There's a whole parade upon my plate! Farfalle brings the butterflies, They look like little bow ties. Orecchiette, little ears, Can you hear the sauce? Surprise! Orzo looks like grains of rice, But pasta's what you're seeing. Ravioli, little parcels, Keep their filling from fleeing! Someone's wearing spaghetti as a wig. It's the conductor. Lasagna sheets make layer on layer, Tortellini rings arrive with flair. Conchiglie brings a shell-shaped boat, A basil leaf becomes its coat! Penne! Fusilli! Rigatoni! Farfalle! Ravioli! Macaroni! Twirl, twirl, wiggle and bow, Everybody bring your shape somehow! Long or little, bent or straight, There's a whole parade upon my plate! Please applaud the conductor. Not with your fork.
