Smarty Party! Let’s build a picnic spot. I brought some help! That’s… a LOT of help. Excavator curls its bucket, digs the ground. Bulldozer’s blade pushes piles around. Wheel loader scoops; dump truck takes the load. Backhoe loader, two jobs in one: Front bucket scoops; the back digs down. Trencher cuts a channel, narrow and long. I only drew a table… did I draw the scale wrong? The little picnic sketch is spreading down the street. Spotty brought a whole construction fleet! Dig it! Lift it! Roll it flat! Big machines are good at that! Move it! Build it! Make some room! Here comes the crew with a rumble-boom! Big job, little job—what do we need? The right tool for the job. That’s the key! Scraper cuts and carries soil, motor grader smooths. Asphalt paver spreads the mix to build the road. Road roller packs the layers, firm and slow. Concrete mixer turns its drum; the mix tumbles round. A path around a flower bed, a place to sit and talk— We asked for somewhere nice to eat. We’re getting a whole party! Dig it! Lift it! That’s the key! Forklift lifts a pallet; telehandler reaches out. Skid-steer loader turns within a little patch of ground. Tower crane can lift the load up overhead. Scissor lift: a platform rising with the crew. Sixteen kinds of helpers, different jobs to do. Now park the mighty machines. There’s lunch for all the crew! One little pea has rolled away.
